Holiday Inn Express Causeway Bay Hong Kong - Hongkong

La oss ta det viktigste først: Beliggenheten til hotellet er kjempebra! Du bor et steinkast unna Times Square og kan ta metroen der til overalt hvor det skulle være. Det er hovedsakelig beliggenheten man betaler for og det er definitivt verdt det. Standarden er ikke nevneverdig høy men gjennomgående bra med tanke på pris og ovennevnte beliggenhet. Laknene er rene, badet er fint og med gratis trådløs internett var underholdningsbehovet stort sett dekket om kvelden (men ikke helt, se under). Vi bodde seks netter på hotellet, og rakk å bli greit kjent med de som jobbet der. Personalet oppfattet vi som hyggelige og flinke, de få problemene vi hadde var de raske og effektive med å løse. De var også behjelpelige med å finne frem til postkontor og andre ting i nærheten.

Vi var uheldig med at rommet vi bodde på hadde en svak, men nokså stram lukt av urin på toalettet som vi oppfattet som ganske ubehagelig. Denne forsvant aldri og vi lurte på om det kunne ha noe med avløpet å gjøre. Nå er det ikke først og fremst tv-størrelsen man vurderer et hotell på, men vi bet oss merke i at det ikke var installert flatskjerm på rommet. Isteden var det en knøttliten lysrørvariant fra tidlig nittitall som var komplett umulig å se noe som helst på. Dette var litt skuffende da vi var i Hongkong mens OL pågikk og hadde sett frem til å se øvelsene på kvelden når vi kom hjem. Frokosten serveres i tredje etasje på hotellet og kan tas med opp til rommet hvis man skulle ønske det. Man har flere varianter å velge mellom, men ingen av dem smakte særlig godt. Fristet ikke å starte dagen med småsur kaffe og frukt som kjentes ut som den var dratt rett ut av fryseren. Her må man for all del ikke tro det er noen katastrofe hvis man går glipp av frokosten.

Hotellet ligger svært sentralt med kort vei til alle typer butikker. Et stort kjøpesenter rett over gaten. Godt med restauranter i nærområdet. To i samme bygg.

Noen dager er det svært heltisk i frokostsalen.

The size of the room was plesently surprising for a Hong Kong hotel. The included breakfast was unexpected and offered a good choice.

The lack of bar soap in favor of liquid pump soap, particularly in the shower, was not appreciated.

Good value for money.

The staff was not well-trained. The concierge did not provide good avdvice. Breakfast staff spoke little English.

good location. value for money. the room was ok and so was the bathroom. we loved the japanese restaurant and the dessert place!!! super yummy food!!!!

Location was excellent. Close to the tram stop & bus to Repulse bay. Next to Times Square for food and shops. Price for an Island location was excellent. Most important factor was that it accomodated 4 people in one room which was hard to find elsewhere.

Location is perfect i just cross the street and i am Already in times square (lane crawford) i walk a little more and i am in causeway bay mtr station. Walk three blocks away is sogo department store. Walk next two blocks would be lee gardens where shops like lv chanel hermes prada are located

No buffet breakfast just set breakfast of 5 choices.

Location and price can't be beat. Hotel is right next to Times Sq shopping center & the MTA for subway trips on the Island Line. There's tons of shops/restaurants in the vicinity. Breakfast was very good (6 choices b/w western/asian style foods w/ vegetarian options), though they could offer more beverage choices (just OJ and coffee/tea included). Free Wifi was great too. Some hotels do not offer this. In room climate control was very powerful, you can set yourself to freeze if you like. Room cleanliness was ok, linens were clean though the carpet & desk chair could have been spot-checked a little more. An incredible value for the location, good for those on a budget. Concierge was very professional and accomodating. Stay here if you plan to do a lot of shopping or exploring the city. Don't stay here if you're looking for luxury accomodations. This place covers the basics.

Found a few "questionable" stains on the carpet and desk chair, though linens were fresh. Also tap water wasn't drinkable (according to a sign in the bathroom) unless boiled. Hotel provided two bottles of water per day for free, but given the heat (summer) they could make more water available. The little things make a difference

Not Hotel's fault, but difficult to get taxis, as in a side street.

Great location for those who are staying for shopping purposes only. Also some nice restaurants a walking distance from the hotel like well-known Din Tai Fung. The hotel main entrance is just five steps from one of the main shopping malls Times Square and 5 minutes walk from Sogo that is located on the busiest crossroad in Hong Kong island. Great location if you are there to shop, no need to travel far, all is near by.

I stayed in both Holiday Inn Express Causeway Bay and Soho and I must say that the hotel needs serious renovation compared to the cheaper one in Soho. The second hotel is just super in terms of everything, but Causeway Bay one is disappointing. There is a scent on all floors and rooms are just not clean enough. I would suggest to stay in Holiday Inn Express Soho that is on the other side of the island on Jervois street, there is more life going on, numerous cafes, bars, restaurants, IFC shopping mall, etc..

Room is just right for 2.clean and nicely designed. They mineral water was replenished every day. There was also bedroom slippers.

1) Very unstable Wi-fi 2) I wanted a cab from hotel to airport express station. The staff called the security to help in flagging a cab but when I went down to the hotel drop off point, there was no taxi nor do I see the security guard 3) breakfast in the hotel cafe is average

The room is clean but small. Sofa bed is a good option for family travel. No more than 4 people. The location is good. Right infront the time square. I love it.

The breakfast menu mostly served pork and ham. Which not a good option place to eat for moslem.
